I have two hard drives in my computer. When I try to change the settings in WMP so that ripped songs go to a folder on my D drive instead of my C drive, I am denied because the folders on that drive are read-only. I never made any of these files read-only.
When I try to change the read-olny settings of the desired destination folder on my D drive, the settings revert themselves after I exit out of the dialouge box. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Can't change Rip Music folder settings
I can vouch for the mysteriously stubborn settings, but I don't know how you'd still get them on there... If you still have your old version of Windows, boot to it and check settings.
